Ridgewood Gears Up for October Harvest Festival and Flu Clinic Amidst Village Updates

Ridgewood residents can mark their calendars for the annual Harvest Festival Marketplace, hosted by the Ridgewood Guild, set to take place on Saturday, October 4th, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square. The event promises a range of artisanal goods and community engagement.

Additionally, the Ridgewood Health Department will hold its annual Flu Clinic on Tuesday, October 7th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Youth Center in Village Hall. Interested individuals are encouraged to schedule an appointment with Valley Community Health at 201-291-6090.

Other upcoming events include the YMCA's Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 12th, located on the west side with free parking available at the Hudson Street Parking Garage, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Village Council recognized American Legion Post #53 for their hosting of the Gold Star Families event in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square on September 28, 2025. Volunteers from Ridgewood High School were also thanked for their assistance in lighting luminaries during the event.

Village offices will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, for Columbus Day, and the Recycling Center will be closed as well, with no curbside bulk pickup scheduled for that week.

Upcoming Village Council meetings are scheduled for Work Sessions on October 22 and November 5, 2025, and Public Meetings on October 8 and November 12, 2025. All meetings begin at 7:30 p.m.

Councilmember Mortimer noted the success of the Ridgewood Arts Council's "Chalk-A-Lot" event at Orchard School, and also the last Park Walk at Twinney Pond took place.
