The Wyckoff Police Department conducted a live helicopter landing demonstration on Memorial Field for its Citizens Police Academy Tuesday night. The demonstration, which took place around 8 p.m., was part of the eight-week program designed to educate residents about police operations.
The Citizens Police Academy offers Wyckoff residents aged 35-65 the opportunity to learn about various aspects of law enforcement. Participants undergo a background check as part of the application process. The helicopter landing provided a firsthand look at the resources and tactics employed by the police department.
